Grub and Bill Bug Prevention

The Grub Prevention is taken up by the roots of the turf grass and turns the roots into a deadly meal for grubs and other insects, but does no harm to people, pets, or other plants.

BILLBUGs

Adult billbugs are about 1/2" long. They're a beetle with a long snout or bill. Adult billbugs feed on the grass stems above the surface. Adults billbugs bury into the soil, and lay their eggs where they hatch. The larvae of the billbug then feeds on the tender turfgrass roots. Common signs of billbug damage are dead spots in the lawn that doesn't recover from watering.

GRUBS

Grubs are the larval stage of the Japanese Beetle, an extremely damaging insect common to Ohio. Adult Japanese Beetles lay their eggs in the soil, where they remain for most of the year until the grubs pupate and emerge as the Japanese Beetle. It is the grub stage of their life cycle that causes the most damage to the lawn. The grubs really thrive on the tender roots of turfgrass, especially in late summer or early fall.
