Is your grass dying and you don’t know why? Lawn diseases are here. The unpredictable weather in Ohio can promote lawn disease. Right now many lawns are experiencing disease (see some examples below). Along with your Brookside fertilization, please keep up with your regular lawn maintenance (mow at the proper height, water regularly, fertilize, and treat problems as they arise). This will help deter turf-grass disease and other problems. If reseeding, choose a seed blend that is resistant to lawn rust and other common turf-grass diseases.
With that said, September is not far off. Cooler days and shorter nights are ahead. Plan on taking advantage of this and the additional rainfall to do lawn repairs & seeding. Right now is the best time of the year for repairing any damaged or diseased areas! Did you know that Brookside offers quality seed in 10 lb. & 50 lb. bags?
